Review: Milani Constellation Gel Eye Liner

LOOK AT THESE BEAUTIFUL BABIES!!! I have been searching high and low for them and I was lucky enough to find all three in one spot at a Walgreens that was 15 minutes away from my house. I can't get over how gorgeous they are. Almost too gorgeous to even touch. I purchased them for $5.99 each which really isn't bad for how much product you're getting.
They each come with a little brush to apply them with, but they're better for applying lip products instead. So at least I'll have backup lip brushes. If you tilt them, they change colors. For example, when you look straight at Enchanted Black Opal, it has shades of silver, dark gray, and a hint of blue. But when you tilt it to the side, you see a hint of pink. Absolutely beautiful! Down below are some closeups.

From left to right we have Enchanted Lapis, Enchanted Black Opal, and Enchanted Emerald. Enchanted Lapis is a dark shimmery blue, Enchanted Black Opal is a sparkling gray/silver, and Enchanted Emerald is a shimmery green/blue. When I first took a good look at them, the glitter looked chunky so I wasn't too sure how they would apply. Once I put them on the brush and applied it to the back of my hand, I was so surprised to see how creamy and smooth they were.

OVERALL: If you can find this in any store, BUY IT! I can't wait to experiment with them and try them with different eyeshadows! I've never seen any eye liners like this. Milani, you guys are brilliant and did an AMAZING job with creating these!

DIY Personalized Notebooks

With school being back in session, I thought it would be a fun idea to customize your own notebook. This is super easy and it only took me 10 minutes to do the composition notebook and not even five minutes to do the spiral notebook.
Here's what you'll need:
  • A composition and spiral notebook
  • Two sets of two identical pieces of scrapbook paper (I got mine at Micheal's for $1 for 4 pieces)
  • A pencil
  • A ruler
  • Modge Podge
  • A brush (for the Modge Podge)
  • Scissors

Step One:
  • Line the scrapbook paper with the composition notebook. I would prefer not to cover the binding of the book, but this is about personalizing so feel free to either cover the binding or not. Once you've lined the scrapbook paper, use your pencil to lightly mark a line of the length and width of the book. Now you can do this one or two ways. I cut the paper so that it was larger than the notebook. Second option, is to open the book and have the paper under the book. Use a craft knife and trace around the book. I picked this first option because I didn't have a craft knife and I knew that I would mess it up somehow (it's the truth!).
  • If you chose to do it the first way, then your paper should look like this
Step Two:
  • Once you got your paper cut, it's time to lay out the Modge Podge and brush it to make a thin layer. Try to make it as thin as possible to that there are no bubbles once you've placed the paper on top and have pressed down on it.

Step Three:
  • More Modge Podge (if you didn't use the craft knife to make a precise outline of the paper). You'll need to put a thin layer of the Modge Podge on the top and bottom strip of the paper. When you brush it out, bring the excess glue onto the edge of the book.

  • Once you've put on the thin layer, fold the paper over.

Step Four:
  • Apply a thin layer of Modge Podge on the long side of the notebook. You may need to use a little bit of glue when folding the corners in.

  • Once you've finished the front, repeat the same steps for the back and then you're done!

Now to do spiral notebooks, it's much quicker! You'll need the same items as the first notebook.
Step One:
  • Take your scrapbook paper and outline the notebook.

Step Two:
  • Next, cut out the outline and apply a thin layer of Modge Podge. Lay the scrapbook paper on top and press down to make sure there's no bubbles. After that you're done!

We're done! Super easy and quick to make those boring notebooks look amazing! I don't know about you guys, but I love having fun and cute notebooks. It almost makes me want to take notes and study more! I will be posting more school related posts in the next month or two. Love you muffins!

My Mac Lipstick Collection

So I just got three new lipsticks from Mac's A Novel Romance collection and I decided to do a post about my Mac lipsticks. The reason why I have so many Mac lipsticks is because of the texture and their longevity. I'm not by any means trying to brag about this in any way. I keep my favorite lipsticks in this acrylic lipstick riser from The Container Store for $7.99. This one holds 24 lipsticks and the 12 lipstick riser is $4.99. I keep all of my Mac lipsticks in the first two rows.
First row (left to right) - Creme Cup, Myth, Snob, Please Me, Speed Dial, Brave, Ruby Woo
Second row (left to right) - A Novel Romance, Yield to Love, Hearts Aflame, Kelly Yum-Yum, Mystical, Enchanted One
Third row - Patentpink
Let's start with the first row.
Creme Cup is described as a light blue pink and is a cremesheen finish. This is like my lip color, but better. This is my go to lipstick if I am doing a simple makeup look.
Myth is described as a light neutral nude and is a satin finish. I use to wear this a ton, but now it's kinda rare for me to use it. Don't get me wrong, I like a good nude lip, but I'm starting to get into the darker nude lip now.
Snob is described as a light neutral pink and is a satin finish. This was my first lipstick that I bought from Mac and in my opinion a Mac classic. I would say every Mac fanatic has this lipstick and why shouldn't you?!
Please Me is described as a muted, rosy-tinted pink and is a matte finish. This is one of the few rose tinted lipsticks that I feel like I can pull off, but I've only worn it one or two times.
Speed Dial is described as a light blue pink and is a cremesheen finish. I kinda wish I didn't buy it because I just simply don't care for it.

Brave is described as a pink beige with white pearl and is a satin finish. I have been OBSESSED with this lipstick and is definitely my second favorite lipstick from Mac! I wanted that Kylie Jenner lip that is on trend and I couldn't have asked for a better color. I use Mac's Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Hot'n'Spicy to help create more of a pout.
Ruby Woo is described as a very matte, vivid blue red and is a retro matte finish. Just a warning, this is a very matte lipstick, but it won't budge! It's such a beautiful red and looks just as good with a gloss over it.
Second Row
A Novel Romance is described as a light cool dusty pink and is a cremesheen finish. This is from Mac's A Novel Romance limited edition collection and I can't get over how much I love this color. Sadly this is sold out, but I'm sure you could find it on eBay and I am also searching for dupe.
Yield to love is described as a mid-tone rose and is a cremesheen finish. This was from Mac's A Novel Romance limited edition collection and I'm still not sure what to think of this color just yet. I don't think I'll be buying any rose tinted lipsticks anytime soon.
Hearts Aflame is described as a midtone brick red and is a matte finish. I was a little disappointed with this shade when I first got it because I thought it would be more of a light shade, but it is growing on me.
Kelly Yum-Yum is described as a neon pink and is a matte finish. This was from the Kelly Osbourne collection and to be honest, I haven't worn this out and I don't know if I ever will. Although, it is an awesome color to have in your collection.
Mystical is described as a midtone creamy rose and is a cremesheen finish. This is from the Alluring Aquatic collection and is very similar to Yield to Love, but Mystical is a little bit more lighter. Just like Yield to Love, I still don't know how I feel about this shade.
Enchanted One is described as a midtone neutral pink and is a matte finish. This is from the Alluring Aquatic collection and this is probably my third favorite Mac lipstick. I've transitioned from Myth to this shade over the past month and haven't really looked back. I will sometimes put Myth in the middle of my lips to create an ombre effect.
Third Row
Even though this isn't a lipstick, I'm still including this Patentpolish Lip Pencil because I didn't want him left out of the group. This is in the shade Patentpink and is described as a light blue pink and is more of a glossy finish. This is from the Sharon Osbourne collection and it's very moisturizing on the lips. It reminds me of Snob, but in a creme, glossy finish.
